Understand sender labels

When you receive a message, the app shows a label—not a phone number or contact name.

Someone in your contacts means the sender’s verified details matched a hash in your synced address book.

Anonymous means there was no match. The sender may still be someone you know who has not verified the detail you have, or someone outside your book.

Each sender has a separate thread keyed by an opaque ID so blocks and reports apply to one person at a time.
